Thumbs up 809 rwhp at 14.4 psi of boost on 93 octane fuel our Mustang Chassis Dyno!

809 rwhp at 14.4 psi of boost on 93 octane fuel our Mustang Chassis Dyno! This engine is going to make some power once it is fully broken in. Just think what it will do when we add more boost added along with some race gas!

Not hard at all. We have an ATI ProCharger GTO crank blower pulley, which is only 7.00 dia, and a 3.90 pulley on the head unit. This is why we're only seeing 14.4 psi, although boost is noticeable at 2000 rpm. Yes, it is an M6. Bob

Yes, it was also being hit with a good amount of methanol injection.

Peak HP was about 6200, in a 400in motor with the 232/240 camshaft.

The customer did not really want to rev it out but make more of a broad graph so we chose the smaller cam for this.

We offer a Stage2 Blower cam that is a 236/246 114LSA , this cam in a 400in motor will peak in the area of 6500-6700 and make a higher number, but it may sacrifice bottom end power depending on combo (intake/heads/exhaust/tune).

Not sure on final boost, this should be it. 800rwhp is more then enough to get this land barge moving , and be safe of pump fuel and methanol. Any more and its having to toy around with keeping a barrel of 100+ at home.

Sorry John, I'm still out of my mind with this flu. I'll give you a call in the morning.
Yes, the dyno is fixed, finally... It is now upgraded to the latest and greatest belt combination, hopefully it will be another six years before we need to work on it again.

Brent and I were talking once it is broken in, if Bob Johnson wants more boost we can install the once inch larger ASP crank blower pulley like the one they made for Ron Sutherland. Only time will tell. Bob

They did not get over i think 85-95deg, then again it was about 20-25deg out during the pulls lol, new meaning to "good air".

The only issue with higher octane unleaded is, its usually more expensive then the leaded stuff.

not a problem Bob, its 14 degrees here with 8in. of snow on the ground so I dont think id hook to well with that F1 right now! I guess I could put my 12in. studded snow DRs on. im just trying to get schduled in for dyno time next month so im trying to plan my time line to completing the car.
