Thumbs up Paxton Viper - 672 rwhp 612 ft-lbs

672 rwhp 612 ft-lbs

Those are the Dynojet results from my 2006 Viper. SAE corrected numbers.

Mods: Paxton supercharger kit, right out of the box. 8 psi boost. Custom built dual 3" catback with cats. No custom tuning, factory injectors too. Baseline was 421 rwhp. MTI did the install and built the catback. I bought the Paxton from Speed Inc.

+251 rwhp with 2 mods

pics of the install, looks factory:

Wow Tony that thing is nasty. As I said in the other thread I am not a fan of the wheels, but the paxton more than makes up for it Any more plans for it?

I think the wheels look good with the blue. I like the way it keeps the factory ram air.

Nice Tony!

I'm thinking about doing a Roe on my Gen2.

Are the newer Vipers like yours forged from the factory?

That is insane! So no tuning at all??? Or just a generic base tune that comes with the paxton? That is a very nice looking car man

None of the SRT cars are forged internal.

ChevyChad, you are correct. The Paxton base tune that comes with the kit. It is pretty mild and runs very rich.

lol a fmu on a 65,000+ car.

Solid numbers though. The white wheels are a love hate. I really dig them, they pop like crazy but cleaning them must be kinda tiresome?

Not really, need to go with the bigger pulley. I am sure some other mods would get you more than 700rwhp, but thats about right for a paxton with a near stock Viper. Very good numbers indeed. Anything more than 700 you will want to upgrade the differential with a qualife. Awesome viper man. Vipers rule

Edit: I was wrong, you should be able to see 700rwhp with the paxton, it was the ROE I was thinking you wont see as high of a number, but will run better down low. Good numbers man.

Roe is the way to go if you have a Gen2, for us GenIII's its not an option yet, Sean should be about done with his GenIII version, was having hood figment issues. You get more power down low with the roe over the paxton so if you have the traction, the roe will beat the paxton off the line. Depends on what year Viper you have if it is forged or not, unfortunately my 2004 is not
By what year I mean of course a Gen2, some had them, some didnt. The GENIII's as Nine Ball has said do not.

Actually I am sure he will chime in as of course he deals with them, not me, but from what he has said in the viperclub forum that they are not hard to clean as many would think they would be. In fact he says they are easier to clean than chrome wheels.
