You'd be better of keeping the compression at 9:1 and running more boost with the e85. It will be less stressful on the engine, and probably make more power than running higher compression with less boost.

We just got E85 in Albany NY... cant wait to take advantage of it.
On topic, You can change your boost but you cant change your static compression with a ****. Just something to keep in mind.

We have a lot of E85 around me (Chicago/IL), but I'm doing a little research and if I wanted to convert I might have to change my gas tank. I'll ask this guy I know to go over my combo and see what issues he sees. He's an E85 specialist.

my turbos max out at 18psi. which if i was running 91 oct i would still run 18psi. so will e-85 can't run anymore boost. so raising compression. will add power, right?

and john if you have a stock tank you are fine. e-85 aint as cerosive as people think.

All gas around here is 10% ethanol anyway. Ethanol is nowhere near as bad as methanol which people commonly get confused about.

That's the Arizona Dept of Administration and I'm pretty sure it's private people (or Gov use) only

i was reading over on turbo forums a couple people put a bunch of parts in e85. One guys test lasted over a year. He said the bare aluminum was fine and all the rubber parts and hoses did the same stuff the gas would do to them. I am still not sure about running an aluminum cell but i think it is my only option.

I don't see why you can not run E85 on 10:1 just a choice. Alot of people do not like to step over the unknow line. I have a friend running 10.5:1 with twin 76's but he is alky

yes you can run it at 9.5:1 or 9.8:1, my personal choice would be 9.5:1 and try to squeak out more boost, but you probably still could run allot on 9.8:1
