CDNPERF 402/AFR225's/Prochager F1A-912rwhp/912rwtq!!!!!PUMP GAS!!!!
Just dyno'd my CDNPERF 402 built by Dave Diluca-it made a nice 912 rwhp and 912rwtq with a "baby" F1A. This is on pump gas and meth through a auto-but where still not done-the cam has way too much advance in it. Where going to retard it a wack of degrees and try it out again-then maybe try out a F1R. I'll post more info and specs later-but there isn't anything fancy going on here-it's been a long night!

Is the car running out of steam at 4600 rpm? Wish i was there to take some videos of that monster on the dyno. Looks like there is some power left in it..Good work...Get a new cam in there and lets head south to a track...time for test and tune..

Only 88 more rwhp to go
I run my cam 2* retarded, a couple degrees wont change the peak much but knocking it back 4-6* will. If you are sure it isnt detonating up top and the belt isnt slipping I would run it as-is and shift it around 6500 or so..

You still have a ton to learn if you think lobe profiles like XER are too fast or have too much lift.

are you running your 24x/25x .585/.585? how much advance is in that cam? like 6 degrees? i would have thought with that kind of duration it would push your power band up where you wanted it. crap if your is doing that mines gonna peak at like 3000 LOL ive running a baby 228/.585 @116 in mine, going to the dyno in 2 weeks

I would go run it as is but I don't like how fast the power falls off-I would of figured with the big duration that it would of pulled longer-guess not.

Nothing special really-just an off the shelf 402 from Dave@CDNPERF-his standard Wiseco pistons which work out to around 9.9 with a 72CC AFR head, LS6 intake stock TB, 85mm MAF, 1 7/8 headers 3" mid-pipes, Magnaflow catback, Procharger F1A making 17-19 psi.

hope I dont run into that issue, im running 245 ETPs, I wonder if a bigger runner would help you get the power band up where you want it? thats sick power though, I cant wait to see how I do.

Whats up MityMikeC! It is flatlining at 5500, but still hovers at 900 rwhp mark untill 6500+. Time for a few changes and a bigger blower, although I agree it is possible to run 8's with the little F1A.

Show me a centri dyno that makes this kind of power with your cam with the XER lobes and pulls past 6500-6600 with a 402 or 427 then I'll listen. I've tested alot of cams-i have yet to see a clear difference where the XER's make more power-I know they make more noise and more vacuum-but that's about all?

Now,For a 24x/25x Cam static compression should be .5-1 point higher. Too me it looks like you picked a long duration cam and advanced the valve event's.This works for midrange but kills topend as you found out.If you stay with the low comp. of 9.9-1 you need to keep DCR. We went over this many times before. I garrenty a generic Cam of a XER238/248 on 115 duration install straight up would make more power than you have now and rev out.(unless the blower chokes or the intake does)I have a 427ci Vette sitting here with a D1 pushing 10lbs of boost making 845rwhp on 100% 93 octain.Peak power is at 6500rpm and holds to 7000rpm with only a 234/240XER Cam.Just think if we added meth and a bigger blower like the F1A.
