LSX 427 and OFI S85 setup up and running!!!
Hey everyone. Just thought some of you would like to see my new setup this year. Last year I was one of the first couple people to get a OFI kit. It had some issues with them worked out it put down great numbers.
The setup is in my sig but basically consisted of a 6.0L, AFR 225s, ported LS2 intake/90mm, 60lb inj, and the OFI kit w/S76 turbo. All through a 6 spd and Dana 60 with 3.54s.
Put down 854rwhp on about 16 psi or so. Never got it into the 9's due to the 6spd and the 60 fts but I was happy with the 10.20 @144 it put down.
SO...on to the present!!! Thought I would put the OFI setup to the test...
Over the winter the car got basically gutted. New carpet and some interior, new paint, new front bumper, etc.
Got ahold of a LSX block and theres where my wallet fell into the stuck open position AGAIN. Stuffed with all sorts of goodies from W2W like Wiesco pistons, Howards rods, Callies dragonslayer, and total seal rings. Slapped the good ole 225s back on with new springs and seals. Got a new cam spec'd by LS1speed. Threw on a carkraft oil pan, mellings pump, double chain, and a Victor Jr with Aaron's elbow and rails. Added some 95lb injectors/AEM controller and harness from racetronix and had the turbo upgraded by forcedinductions to a S85. Oh and almost forgot about the snow meth kit added late last year.
So shes running beautifully so far. Hopefully have some dyno numbers for everyone by sometime next week. Driveability is much better then I expected with the huge injectors and single plane intake. Hasnt seen boost yet but maybe some WOT tuning tonight or tomorrow now that it has about 500 miles on it. Here are some pics...more coming as I get a chance...
SPECIAL THANKS: To my girlfriend Shiloh for doing a great job on the paint and helping financially and countless other ways!!! Speedracer5532 (John) for tuning services, Kurt at W2W for helping me select great internals, Aaron @ Intakeelbows for great products and services, LS1speed, Forcedinductions, Racetronix for great products, and of course Joel at OFI for the turbo setup.

Glad our S76 made big power #'s for you. The sound of the boost #'s doesn't sound like you even were pushing it real hard. The S85 should make some great #'s for you.

Hopefully the S85, though theoretically still a little small on the compressor side, will spool much better with the added liter of displacement and still provide enough air to push 15-16psi and maybe 20psi on race fuel, whatever it takes for the magical 4 digit dyno sheet
Hopefully it wont run out of air after 15psi like the 76 did.
Should find out real soon if all goes well...

SSblack98,
Hey man, NICE, good luck with it.
Question: Never seen anyone wrap the cold piping with heat blankets (if thats what they are), whats the benefit? Seems you would want as much air flowing around those pipes as possible.
