Default My DIY C6 mani turbo kit

Here is what I have been working on for the last few months. The kit has C6 manifolds on the driver and passenger side.

I am using a BMR turbo tubular K-member.

Everything is in mild steel and the intercooler pipes are stainless.

The only thing on this kit that I have to relocate are the cruise control, the coolant overflow, and the horn.

I have a manual pump that will be pulling the oil out of the turbos and returning it back to the motor.

I will have more pictures next weekend and a final mock up hopefully next weekend.

Let me know what you think.

Glenn

I have more to post, but something is acting up. I will try to get the rest later.

Glenn

Nice work. You planning to use a scavenge pump for the oil drain back to the pan?

The pictures below are where the C6 manifolds have issues with the F-body K-member and where I had to grind and cut to make them work.
The driver side manifold hit the top of the motor mount so I had to grind the top of the motor mount like this.

The driverside manifold also hit the motor mount perch, so I notched the K-member and ground down the manifold

The passenger side is really close but it works. It looks like I will have to pull some of the wire loom apart and change or lengthen it so it does not hit the manifold. The unibody has a tab sticking out of it from the nut inside the frame where you run one of the k-member bolts through. I decided to cut the tab off, but don't have a picture of it. I think you will see what I mean in the picture below.

I should have more pictures later this week or next weekend.

Let me know what you guys think.

Glenn

The turbos are TC66's. They are T4 flange with an E cover. They have H series comp wheels with F1 Ptrim turbine wheels.

For now, the intercooler is a 4" OBX type cooler. The intercooler pipes are 3" I will have more pictures of those later this week.

So did you have to grind/notch the BMR K-member? As I understood your post you didnt.

Yep he had to grind the manifold outlet and notch the BMR K member motor mount stand.

Glenn I fixed two of the links so now all the pics show up.....checking my email now

Gotta love those flange/bracket combo's....

Yeah all I had to do was cut a v groove in the motor mount tab on the K-member side.

Jer I will send the pictures right now.

Thanks Hunter! the car has been down at least 6 months now
