Also get a check valve on the vac mod line as you do not want boost in there. Very nice build!!!

Yes, I talked to Finishline Trans today and Transgo has a boost blow off valve that goes in-line to the modulator for boosted cars.

Default Another vid

Got another video from Wednesday night, this one is incomplete, but it is a good view from the rear. If you slow motion it, you can see I was getting the front wheel up an inch or two for abuut 4-5 feet on the lauch.

http://s160.photobucket.com/albums/t...chview1035.flv

Couldn't be happier with the performance.

Watching my scan logs of the runs I noticed my methanol injection didn't appear to be working. Inlet air temps started at 120 and ended at 154. Looks like I have to do some testing.

It does look like your meth isn't working. Totally unrelated but are you running 100% meth or a mixture? Bob

I am running 100%, or at least I thought I was running 100%.lol appears I am not running anything presently.

Timing was pulled back 16* through third.

Default Update

Got the meth working and added 5* of timing (16 to 21) and picked up 50RWHP and went a 10.16 @ 133.70 and a 10.17 @ 133 Wedensday night. Haven't got tossed out the racetrack yet either.

After adding the Transgo BPV-BOV the trans shift points were corrected. Still making 9# shifting at 6200 RPM now crossing the stripe at 6300 RPM. Car is working good. 60's were 1.44 and 1.45.

It is great to be able and get in it and go anywhere and idle quietly next to another car and be able to hold a conversation out the window. It makes for a good sleeper in street trim with the SS rims and ET Radials. Its very quiet through the cats and Magnaflow cat back and has very good street manners with a nice sound.

Already had my first victim, a 9 second Z06 with a turbo that couldn't hold a candle to my launch on the street with the Hoosiers QTPs. I had 3 cars on him at the hit. If I had to guess my car leaves just as hard on the street as it does at the track.

I got some video of the track I will work on getting on the 'puter. Wasn't the best this time.

Nice going! Like T.O. says - get your ready!

You car is almost exactly where I'm headed - a 10 second, stock driving car. Except, I'm going to try to do it with an autocross suspension so my 60' is always going suffer. Do you think it could make it into the 9's as is? Is the weather much of a factor when you have the meth pumping? I wonder if cooler weather might give you a few more ponies.

Not sure about the weather, it may help. I am pretty sure if I swapped in the Yank 4000SS verter I have from my h/c LS1 I would crack the 9's. However, I don't think I will get to this experiment yet this year, only one week left. I would only try it to hit 9's because the driveability of that converter sucks on the street. The Yank PY3400 in it now drives like stock. To crack 9's, I could also make more boost, but then I would probably get out of the sweet spot of the twin 4.5 coolers. Right now, it seems to be a real efficient combo.
I was making 9#'s on the dyno (Dynojet), so it is possible I am making 10-11 on the track, I wasn't able to log the data last time out.

Just take your time, don't miss any steps. You'll like it in the end.

Gotta be a 'streeter', couldn't have it any other way, just need to get the temps in check for next summer with the A/C on, it doesn't like the hot days right now.

Great thread with great results man! I've never seen a build thread from the machine shop's end. Screw car craft! Yours has better detail and I don't have to tear out those stupid subscription cards! I just don't feel comfortable taking a dump with my laptop, so I guess I'll keep my subscription.
