Blower lifespan

Guys,

I've got an F1R with about 1000 miles on it. It recently took a dump...

from what it appears, the inner bearings have given up and she ground the impeller down pretty well. With the extreme side load these units are constantly under, how reliable in terms of daily usage, are these things? 1 day she was fine, the next she is dead. Just wondering how many operational years everyone is getting.......

Wow, definitely should last longer than that. I have about 11K miles on my D1SC using procharger's lower idler + tensioner set-up. The belt is tight as hell and no problems so far.

Out of all the blowers we have done and seen, i have only seen one my self touch down. They do last quite a bit for sure, just keep rocks and debris out of the inlet.

I must have had bad luck. hell I'm par for the course

By the way Jake, I the bought 2 F1's from ya'll..... if you feel real sorry for me maybe you guys can just donate to me

By the way... how much do you think, worst case scenario, to have the f1 rebuilt?

Another note... how much for a 6 pack of blower oil?

Give us a ring, i think the oil is like $30 or so for 3, not 100%. Talk with my parts guy on that.

As for the f1, depends whats trashed and if you are under warranty. Depending on the cost it might be time to upgrade

lol. I doubt it will be that much.

For my friends that have been following my saga.... the final numbers are as follows:

754 RWHP, 701 ft trq, @ 6200 rpm, 17 psi boost. I'm done, I'm happy. Thanks to EPP for the Blower!!!!
