Default My Walbro 255 fuel pump is shot and i need advice on a new setup

I have the Walbro 255 fuel pump and it has been in there for a few years now. I was at the dyno today and noticed that when we went wide open throttle the fuel pressure went from around 60lbs to 40lbs. I made a 525 rwhp on motor (procharged). I also have a MSD boost-a-pump on it.The voltage is ok coming out if the boost-a-pump. Is my Walbro pump bad? I'm almost sure it's bad. What should i replace it with? The racetronix fuel pump or should i do a dual Walbro set up? (I also run a 200 shot of NOS)

At 525 rwhp, you are near the limits of a single 255 & are relying on the BAP to get you the needed flow.

The dual intank setup I offer does not need the BAP. You can sell this to recover some of the pump costs.

Feel free to cantact me if you wish to discuss this in more detail.
I can get you the setup with various options to best suit your needs.

Yes these are dual intank factory style setup. Fits and functions just like factory. One pump runs all the time the second will come on under boost.

Could i get the dual pumps with the racetronix pumps? The reason i ask is because the single Walbro 255 is already maxed out; but then again if the other pump came on under boost it might work. How would i activate the 2nd pump to come on when there is boost?

Are there any pictures and detailed descriptions of this dual in-tank setup? Something along the lines that Racetroniox provides for their single in-tank setup and harness?

OK. I just got the fuel pump out today. It's a Walbro pump (not sure which one though). This one has lasted a while. I really think a nother one just like it will be fine. I had it tuned 1 year ago and no issues then. I just think the pump has seen better days! Will the racetronix give me a little more fuel than the Walbro? I also have a BAP on this car and really don't want to remove it for a dual pump and rewire ALL the wiring. JUST WANT TO KEEP IT SIMPLE AS I HAVE DONE A LOT OF WORK ON THIS CAR ALREADY. Not to mention it's cheaper...

Most BAP's is not rated for 2 pumps, plus they are not needed as they will support over 1000rwhp without using a BAP.

The dual intank setups come with a plug-n-play wiring harness so you need to change your wiring anyway. The second pump is boost activated.

I use pumps from Racetronix as well, but they are different than the 99-02 pumps used in the f-body upgrade kits.

Kits are returned fully assembled & tested so there is no guesswork or headaches.

Feel free to call me if you want to discuss this in more detail.

Probably 600rwhp..... depends greatly on tuning, boost pressure etc. I'm sure many have gone higher & also some had problems. Sort of hard to give an accurate number. With fuel it is always better to be safe than sorry.
