Factory fuel level works with modified bucket. just cut 90% of the bucket. Only concern now is the bucket not holding any fluid. The metal tanks ive heard actually have built in baffles in the tank?
Do u have any part numbers for the fuel system upgrade u did?

fuel pumps
-8 fitting that comes out the top of the pump
hobbs switch
triple chrome inlet with 3 way fittings?
what size are the brass fittings and part numbers
-8 line from the pump to the fuel rail? assuming your using a fast rail system?
return line, what did you do with it?
what regulator do you have? assuming fast rails?
e85 or pump gas?

Already did this for my car thanks to automagic and skinnies answering my questions (since they have done it awhile ago lol). FasTimeSS did you do your 3 way manifold like MM did or just leave it as is and run a -8 to 3/8 fitting into it?

With a "cut up" fuel bucket, 3 pumps and a unbaffled tank do you have any problems with fuel starvation? Is there a certain amount of fuel you have to run in the tank to prevent starvation?

I've got a tri-way fitting that is similar to the above picture. I simply block 1 of them as I'm only running twin pumps.

How do you guys feel about running a -10 to thr front. I just wonder if 1 pump would have a hard time keep pressure in the line when not in boost.

I bought one today at the depot and I think anyone running a dual setup would be better off with the magnaflow or whatever it is Y. This manifold doesn't seem well designed to flow gas very well. I tihnk if you ported where the 3 ports merge it would flow a lot better.

Think I am going to return it and try the above mosted McmasterCarr one that is 1/2" for the -10,

I would like to do a nice complete fuel setup, but just want to do something budget to get the car out and going then worry about it. Which is why i want to run the bigger line to use later.

i did this, and its perfectly fine

its like $6 and fits great compared to $30 and fits poorly with no third (upgrade later) provision, and as you see I opened it up

Think I am going to return it and try the above mosted McmasterCarr one that is 1/2" for the -10,

its the same fitting with one size larger threads, for two pumps the bigger exit and the -10 line wont get you anywhere

if you really dont want to worry about it later, put the third pump in now

Dave, I assume you ran a filter inline? Just wondering where you mounted it.

Thanks,
Brian

well just pulled the trigger on some parts. going to start mine soon here.

Also doing the 3 pump's with a -10 setup all going into a 99 stock tank. Will not cut the sides at all, will prob just drill another hole or two in the bottom.

Part #'s for anyone doing this:

Jeg's -10 fuel filter: 555-150006 $79.99
Anodized Straight -10AN Female to 1/2" NPT Male Swivel Coupler : 555-100338 $9.99
-10AN Black Bulkhead Nut: 555-110294 $2.99
-10AN Black Flare Bulkhead 90° Fitting: 555-110264 $14.99
-Walbro GSS340 $74.99 (Pump only, better off getting one with the filter and wiring harness :/)
- McMaster Carr - Three-way aluminium manifold for air. 1/2" 5465K73 $9.14
- McMaster Carr - 10 pack 5/16" barb fittings 5346K16 $12.86 (they sell them in singles, but they were like $2 each i think and will end up giving some to a friend or two.)

Ordered everything but the Mcmaster Carr stuff right off Amazon.

Already have a racetronix pump setup, so that's 1 pump. A buddy gave me a brand new gss340, so I only needed to order 1.

Still need to order line and a regulator

I will prob use a Aeromotive 13110 Pro-Series EFI Regulator

That is the only one that I really found that a lot of LS1's guys are using and also has a -10 inlet.

remember the regulator goes after the rails, and after the engine uses the fuel, the rest goes thru the regulator... so you wont be requiring the full size line.

you could easily get by with -6 in my opinion, especially if running staged pumps. and super expecially if you are going to go backward thru the stock feed line (< 5/16" anyways)

Good point. Like I said, Haven't ordered the reg yet. I will do a bunch of research before I do.

Also want to point out all the parts above I ordered from amazon. The only parts I didn't, was the mcmastercarr stuff. The pump shows just pump, but from the comments in the review, someone states that it comes with the pigtail and filter/sock. So hopefully it does. Those are the only parts I really need, as I will use my own hose and clamps.

first regulator i had was a kirban race regulator, very small return.. no problems with one or two pumps, second was a fore innovations regulator, no problems with 1-2-3 pumps.. both were very nice units, the fore is exeptional.

Fuel pump and parts came in.

Bad news is the fuel pump I ordered was the pump only. So need to find a wiring harness and 2 filters(my other pump is missing a filter).

Will prob cut a panel this weekend and get started on that.
