Default NA Guys on E85 - Step In

Would like to know how many NA guys are on E85 and if they like it. Found some good threads but they are all related to boosted guys. My MAIN reason for wanting to switch is to lower the smell/richness of my exhaust (I have no cats and its horrible), 2nd reason is for the slight power increase (only have 91 oct here), I have more reasons too. Also if some of you guys can post a copy of your (HPTuners) tune up I would appreciate it! I already have 54lb injectors and my mods are in my sig below, I also have HP Tuners and a LM2 wideband.

**Please do NOT post in my thread telling me that E85 is all BS and how it will hurt my fuel system, I dont care to hear it. This thread is for the NA guys who are running or have run E85 ONLY***

Somebody posting their tune isn't going to tell you anything.

However I have seen on average ~20 horsepower/tq on an N/A build of average compression (10-11) just by switching to E85 on plenty of cars here and we have 91 oct only. Obviously it varies quite a bit depending on your combo and if you are building something for E85 specifically bump that compression up and watch the gains go up.

Thanks, I only want to see a tune to see exactly how much they have added to the VE table, etc.

I've seen a couple of C6 ZO6 @ Corvette forum with 12 - 14 compresstion getting 630+rwhp and 540+rwtq depend on the H/C .

Everyone seems to love E85.

Swithched to E85 this last weekend at the track and i absoloutley love it. I won't go back to 93 unless i have to. I picked up almost a tenth at the track but i did some other changes so really can't compare. Car definatly ran stronger and could hot lap it without it even heating up. E85 is the real deal boys.......

i run it... i was barely squeeking by with 91 on 12.5:1 compression... it seems to like 13.5:1 with the E85. You can expect a 10-15% mpg loss, I don't know what kind of long distance driving you'll be doing, it doesn't bother me though. I love the stuff, plus it does smell kinda good

Just did the switch to E85 today, drained the tank at the fuel rail with the fuel pump on till it sputtered, then put 5 gals in, changed the Stoich to 9.799 and added 2 deg of timing across the board. Fired right up, runs smoother (no more low rpm bucking at 1400-1600 rpm), smells great, runs 10* cooler and def has more power up top and on the low end, I am right at stoich in CL and about 8.9-9.1 in open loop. Its a little rich at 7.1-7.5 AFR @ WOT but I suspect that its due to 1-1.5 gals of 100% gas left in the tank that mixed with the 5 gals of E85, so I am going to drive it till its almost empty tonight and fill it back up with E85, it should lean out a tad to where it needs to be. I have 54lb inj's and they are at 95% duty cycle.

BTW I am not using Lambda cause my LM2 has a function in the settings (on the computer with the LM2 connected) to change the reading for stoich E85 (9.799) so it reads in AFR just fine. I still cant get my AFR error to read right tho in HP Tuners.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/fueling-i...ed-e-85-a.html

I posted this thread a lil while ago. I've been running e85 for a little while and love it!! but if you looking to get rid of the smell of exhaust then put ur cats back on cuz mine still smells, it just smells like a corn and alcohol now lol.

Also if you want to get the most gain out of the e85, up your compression!!

and you might want to look into a dual intake pump system if you already havent because of the power your making .

What in the tune needs to be changed to run e85?
I changed injectors from 60lbs to 80lbs and adjust the injector table to for the 80lbers.
Then changed the Stoich to 9.799.
Anything else?
How do you change the tune to spray 30% more fuel?
Thanks for help

VE table increase 20 percent and big injectors idle nicely on E85.
