Default What injectors for 650 rwhp? 30s, 36s, or 42s?

Assume a 500 rwhp 347, then possibly up to 150 dry shot (No definite plans, but only wanna buy injectors once). 30s, 36s, or 42s? Is there a formula for determining what size injector is needed? Again, 95% of the time, it wil be run on motor, the NOS will only be used on "special occasions" if at all.

Thanks, Shawn

I would use the 55lb High Z injectors from Seiman Deka. No sense in cutting it close with fuel. The 55's will drive and idle as good as the stock injectors.

Somewhere 'tween a 50 and 60 since the injectors will have to add fuel for dry nitrous.

My 39's (at 58psi) were only good to about 525rwhp safe.

Ummmm.. I have to disagree with some of you guys. 383LQ4SS is running 42lb injectors. Two dry stages and he has put down over 700rwhp w/out coming close to maxing out the injectors.

I'm sure the 42's can go far, but they got to be close to pushing the max.....

I got a set of 60's waiting to go in, I'm looking for around 650rwhp......

You are taking a chance with the Bosch #42's above 600 hp , you may end up maxing out the duty cycle especially with a Nitrous kit . We have them for $289 right now on special if you decide to try it . However I would reccomend the Sieman Deka High Impedence #60's , we also have these for $499 right now and they will give you more than enough fuel for what you are trying to do without having to change your injector drivers in the computer .

I just bought a set of 75lb hi impedence injectors....They have been proven out on at least one blown C5...775rwhp and good idle. They are price at $700/set, but you wont have to upgrade and no low impedence driver box.

50lb injectors here. 621RWHP with a blower. I had a set of my Lucas 38 lb injectors. I ran out of injector at 4900 rpms. 50's are holding up fine.

you can find a good price for SVO 42's. They flow 42 lbs at 43 psi of fuel pressure with is set for fords. At 58psi they flow about 49lb per hour. They would be good for you.
