fuel pump size - need advice
I have a stock LQ4. Changing out the heads to 243 (around 10:1 or just over that) and the cam 236/242 .600/.600 110+2 LSA. Also adding 1-7/8" long tube headers with 3" exhaust.
The engine has a Edelbrock carb intake and a Holley Terminater EFI carb set up.
Based on those conditions I am sure the 255 LPH Walboro pump is all I need but I may add turbo or nitrous in the future. This is a play toy/show car and not a drag car application.
Would it be better just to get the 400 LPH pump now or would that effect
how the car runs by choking it with fuel??
New to EFI so please excuse the lack of knowledge!

The engine won't be choked with fuel because the regulator will prevent that...

So if I am running the 400 lph pump even though I dont need near that
it will just return whats not used but I will have plenty on hand if I ever
upgrade either the engine, add a turbo, add nitrous, etc?

One thing; be sure to size your fuel lines and regulator to handle the flow the 400 will put out, which should really just be common sense, but had to be said.
That said, a good regulator will keep the engine fed (NOT overfed!) properly.

Hmm, got a way to figure that? From looking online I get about 1/2" or -08an
and will the line size be affected once I start using more fuel when I upgrade?
Good source for fittings and lines?

If you size lines for your final setup, there should be no problem once you start using the amt. of fuel you planned for.
Earl's has good fittings and hose, but there are others. Check with our vendors/sponsors.

If it's an fbody, two Racetronix kits dependent up year model are good to 550 rwhp. Plug and play and easy to install.
