Injector control questions
The ECU tells the injector when and for how long to open.
Your explanation of what your trying to do needs more meat in it.
If you think your going to make it better than the factory or a standalone ECU
with a hack, just remember the thousands of engineers that already worked on them for the last 20 years.

I would need to know WHEN you believe the cycle begins ?
I then advance that point as RPM is increased.
AS the inventor of the FIRST MODERN EMS ( DIS & FUEL), I state "0" is when the intake opens to start a cycle.

With all respect, I doubt OP would have ANY clue as to what you are talking about.
Your thinking above is about 3 planes (or more) higher than his frame of thinking.

the ECM uses sensor data as well as the values in the calibration to calculate this. crank/cam sensors are needed, obviously, to judge the location of each piston in crank degrees as well as if it is on the proper stroke for air/fuel intake. from what i can see, engine coolant temp and rpm are also factors.
EOIT values can't be changed with hptuners in the p59, but in gen iv ecm's it can be edited.
injection timing boundary value can be edited in the P59 ecm.

I state that the engine should be fueled WHEN port air flow is high, NOT at VALVE OVERLAP ("on a CLOSED valve").
Thus TAU fuel will be LOW, the fuel will mix well with the air in the port. LOW Emissoins, good mileage, best power.
NOW lets talk about the Injection Instant (MY term)
