Default Straight tubing to hose fittings

What type of fittings do people usually use when connecting straight 3/8" fuel line to steel braided hose line. I have the earls hose end (female) at the end of my hose, but I'm having trouble finding -6an male tube ends. Hydraulic and Air conditioning places around my area are clueless. Any help would be apriciated.

are you talking about adapting hardline to a male AN fitting?

use a tube sleeve and nut, and then install an male/male union.

Or you could use the fitting that goes direct from stock hard fuel line quick connect to SS hose such as sold by Nate @ Nasty Performance & probably some other sponsors...

yea.
do it the way guys have done it for decades before the "hardline adapters" came along..

slip a tube nut on, and flare the hardline.. then it directly connects to the fitting you already have on the hose.

edit: be sure to use the correct flare tool for the connection. not a standard double flare tool.

The hose you have to put together your self with straight hose ends use the Russell fitting mentioned I have them for $8.50 then a -6 male to male union to -6 straight hose end.

Yeah, a buddy of mine bought one of those cheapy flare tools from harbor freight and machined the flare angles from 45 to 37? degrees

Isn't there a fitting that you can buy, not have to machine, that will go straight into a stainless steel braided hose end?

OK, got a pic but where do I get just this fitting and can I intall it myself with semi-normal tools? I have a 45 and 37 degree flare tool if that helps. And this also, is a female tubing end, it won't go straight into a hose end without an adapter will it?
