Default Nasty Fuel Tank Problem!!!!!

I have a Nasty fuel tank and for some reason I can only put 7 gallons of gas in it I have no clue what to do I have been trying to figure this out for months. Anything over 7 gallons just pours out the vent hose I have moved it several time to see if it would work but I am getting really pissed off now I just don't understand how to fix this problem.

Well for some reason the gauge don't work properly I hooked it up the way Nate told me to or I assume it was Nate anyway I called nasty and they told me how to hook it up. But anyways everytime I fill up all I can put in it is 7 gallons and I wait until the motor is just about to die before I get any I usually pull up to the gas station and let the car run a second or two and it cuts off cause it is out of gas.

I hooked my sending unit up just like that. And on the hose I have a barb coming out the side of the tank and a piece hose on it.

Maybe you have the sender quirk. When the gas guage reads empty, theres still like 7 gallons in the tank.

Yeah that how I know to get gas and I judge it off of miles per tank but that varies alot. It is almost lke the tank is to big causing the end with the breather to be lower than the other. Can you take some pictures of how you tank fits becauce I have 6 inches of free space above the tank and I have tried every way I can think for it to go in there and this the only way it will work.

ok i just went to fill it up. used my jug and put one gallon, noticed the light went off when i thought i had less. but then as i was driving the light came back on after a mile. so im guessing ive got to be somewhere about 5-6 gallons remaining. went to the gas station and for the first time it popped and stopped i was sure if i was full or not and tried to pump again. popped off and i was at 8.x gallons. so im guessing the light comes on somehwere in the lines of 6 gallons. you should try taking off the extra plug and see how many gallons you have left, put it back and and fill it to get an idea of where your light comes on

How about bending the float down to match the bottom of the tank

Also I would like to know if anyone has a problem like this I have a aeromotive 1000 and you can drive the car at night and in the winter and have no problems but now that it is summer you can drive around for a while and the fuel pump starts making wierd noises and the car goes extremely lean so I shut the car down for about 10 minutes and crack it back up and the car runs perfect air/fuel. I have no clue really maybe the pump is getting hot I don't know but if anyone knows what is wrong then please tell me.

Sounds like your pump is overheating, pretty common for those pumps I hear.

My tank (same as yours) drained some fuel out of the vent the other day, gauge was showing just over half tank. I'm afraid to fill it all the way up now, but it only did it after getting on it.

Where are you running the vent hose? It has to be higher than the tank as high as possible. I try and add a loop in the hose as high as I can. Is your vent hose empty? The air pressure from filling could be pushing the left over fuel stuck in the hose out.
