Angry Need some help with Nasty stage 3 fuel system

I just finished installing Nasty's stage 3 fuel system for my car and now I'm having problems getting the car to stay running.

I go to start the car and it fires on the first crank, but as soon as the key goes into the "on" position it dies right away. Thought it was the VATS, and had that disabled and still nothing.

The pumps are working as I have set the regulator @ 58psi and have 58psi at the regulator. All fuses are good, battery is good. I'm at a lost as what could be the problem. Car ran fine before the install. Any idea's????

What else was disconnected when you did the fuel system?

I had a customer with a similar problem (where the fuel system was blamed) & it turned out that the computer was disconnected during the swap & 1 connector was not inserted all the way.

Does it have one of my dual pump kits?
What happens to the pressure when it starts?
Did you try to swap primary & secondary pumps with the underhood connectors?

Give me some more info & I'll try to help you out.

Does the pump(s) still run when you put the key in the "on" position?

Lonnie:
PCM was pulled out and reflashed, but I put it back in fine. I've swapped the PCM out hundreds of times and never a issue with me not putting back in correctly

Yes its one of your dual pump kits

turn the key forward and the regulator shows 60psi via a gauge, turn the key forward 1 more time to start and the pressure drops to 40psi and won't start

Haven't tried swaping the underhood connectors yet, but will do that

Also, I sprayed starter fluid into the intake and the car started right up but eventually dies. I'm thinking its a volume issue, not a wiring.

I don't hear them running with the key in the "on" position. I turn the key forward and I hear the pumps kick on and prime the system and then I go to start and nothing.

The pumps & wiring was fully tested before shipment, so there has to be an explanation.

Try something for me......

Remove both underhood jumpers from the harness.
Do the pumps prime?

Repeat twice with only 1 of the jumpers attached.
Do each of the pumps prime individually?

Feel free to give me a call at 724-322-8505.

Lonnie:

I swapped out the underhood jumpers with each other and the car started right up.

Now why did I have to do that if all that the jumpers do is complete the circuit with the pumps running? Am I gonna have a issue with running a manual switch to 1 of the pumps to turn "on" the extra pump when only needed?

Thanks for you help,too!!!!

You need to call me, exchanging 1 sentence every 2 days is not the way to solve a problem & I do think something may still be wrong.

I include a phone number with every kit, so problems can be solved immediately.

If you swapped the connectors & it works, there is a problem. I need to know exactly, what you are doing, so everything works properly.

There are certain steps I need to review to ensure there is not a problem.

There is also no reason to run a switch instead of what I provided. When you call, we can get into more detail.

You could always give us or Lonnie a call and we can help you figure out the problem. We are both available and willing to help out.
