Default i keep blowing the fuel pump hose HELP

I have now blown this hose for the 2nd time and had to drop the tank 3 times now i am using 5/16 inch fuel injection hose on the line that goes from the 255 walboro to the stock housing plastic barb thing. the hose simply cannot hold the pressure. this was the hose reccomended in one of the write-ups. has anyone else had a problem like this and if so what was the solution? the hose swells up either because of the pressure or it reacts to the gas i dont know which. i think a dense plastic hose would work but i figured i would see what you guys think i should do about it. also the clamps tend to loosen up a bit(probley because of the pressure) is there any other way to make sure it doesnt come lose???? any help is greatly apreciated.

first do the trap door mod....it is SO worth it for getting to the pump. Me and my friends use hydraulic type hose...it can hold 300psi and is fine sitting in gas. My dual walbros are from my old car and that hose has been in use for a total of 5 years for me. Get you some hose at a hydraulic supply place...you have to work with it a little but probs over

Breaks next to the clamp right?

This was a known problem with the walboro pumps. They came with a hose that couldn't hold the fuel pressure.

I went to Kragen and got some high pressure 5/16 fuel hose and strapped that baby on there, Been holding up for years now...

i found some stuff on discounthydralichose.com that is rated at like 3k PSI. its like a fiber braid with a steel layer and nitrite coat. what do you guys think? will i be able to bend it? MAYBE this could hold the mighty wally 255.

i thought i was having the same problem. i just dropped my tank for the second time but the pump looks fine! my car wouldn't start last week and now that i dropped the tank, i figured i would have solved the problem by putting a new hose on. what can i do???

Hi, Had the sons Blazer pop the hoze off the fuel pump. His fuel filter was clogged up. That was fun dropping the tank to find it out. Just a thought. Dave

Having the same problem here. Does anyone know if there is a stock style hose that will work?
