Is the Stock FPR Adjustable?
When I had my Fuel Pump out.. I noticed there was one of those Tamper Proof Screws on the back of the stock FPR. Has anyone experimented with that?
i do believe reckless did a loong time ago and you can make f/p adjustments on it... or maybe he just hooked a vaccum line to it and made it vaccum referenced.. i cant remember.. but ask him
FWIW it would be a big pain to put all that back in to find the fp is too high/low still and have to pull it all out to make an adjustment.
also fwiw you can change the injector flowrate in the computer and accomplish the same thing.. more/less fuel

Thanks!. My FP Drops to about 53-52. That's from 58-61 during normal driving. I was just curious if it was possible to bump that FP up so that when it does drop your starting out a little higher initially. I was thinking of doing an Aeromotive Boost referenced FPR but if my tuner can fix things by adjusting the flow rate.. Might just go that route.
BTW - I have an Acccess panel to my FP. Won't be dropping the tank for that!

good idea, but seem's like turning it up would be covering up for a problem somewhere else in the fuel system.. how is the pump? stock or 255lph? any crimped/smushed pressure lines? is the filter clean? getting good volatage to the pump(13V)?
It's a Walbro 340m so that's a 225lph right?
New Fuel Filter, Nothing Crimped and I have a seperate heavy gauge 12volt Source running back to the Pump from the battery.
I guess it's a normal occurance to watch the FP Drop a few PSI during WOT.

What is the "proper" fuel pressure?
Because at idle, with so little flow, the
pressure you read could just be regulator
"creep" or lack of gain, the difference in
blowoff pressure when the regulator has to be
full open (returning all fuel to tank) vs part
open vs full closed has to consume some mechanical
travel and thus some spring force / pressure.
I believe the injector flow tables are set up to
embody the whole fuel system characteristics from
pump through injector shot. If you made the fuel
system too better you might need to edit things.
But just a little better up top wouldn't hurt.
Would be interesting to see a fuel pressure at the
rails data log from a dyno pull, and see how the
fade profile looks on a "normal" car. Especially,
whether it's linear, a cliff just off idle (creep)
or a cliff at higher RPM (wimp pump). Just for
some insight to the plumbing.

BD - Get with me via "our board's" PMs or call me. I have an Aeromotive set-up on the TA now and I got all the part numbers you would need to set yours up. It works great. Runs a steady 62 psi at all times.

My car idles with about 52 PSI. Is that the norm for a stock fuel pump and stock fuel system? What is the factory setting supposed to be? At idle and WOT?
