want higher gears....which one?
I'm kind of wanting to go with some 4.30 or 4.56 gears when I have my rear end re-built?
That will help get my heavy butt moving off the line, without getting a bigger converter that may require more tire (larger slick). and to get my dumbass from doing 140 down the highway.
Anyone have any experiences with either of these??
or should I just stay with the 4.10s?

Not much help on the truck bro. But Do you ever take it to the track? Or just abuse unknowing motorist lol. If its on the street... if you can hook the gear run it. I dunno if your willing to go to a drag radial or not. How does she do now with the 4.10's?

ocasionally, doesn't get drivin everyday so gas mileage isn't really an issue, it does good on the 4.10s but I think it could benefit from some lower gears.
If I ever race on the street its from a roll so I don't usually have a problem hooking.

I looked it up on the gear calculator and on 4.10sI trap at about 4900, 4.30s-5250, and 4.56s-5800
I think the 4.56s may be what I choose but would like to hear some more truck guys chime in.
thanks w3s1c0a5t
