Default Will it hold?

The first track day is coming up Saturday and I'm kind of nervous. I have a 1999 Firehawk Trans Am M6 (mods in signature) with 3.42 gears and the adburn differential. Will it hold up to drag radials at the track?

Since you're only bolt-ons, i don't see you having a problem. I tracked my M6 several times with DR's and it did fine. Depends on if you're dead hooking or not, track prep, launch rpm, etc, etc. what tires are you running?

Oh, and i'll see you at GB. Look for the Orange streak.

I would say so too but may want to start throwing some change in an account for a rear swap

I look forward to seeing you, STEEPSS.

As for the gears, I'm looking at getting a set of 4.10s or 3.90s sometime during the summer.

If you're going to be hitting the track often, you might want to look into some rear suspension mods to get rid of wheel hop

x2. Wheel hop is a 10 bolt killer.

You get that rear back in your car yet Strahley?

always assume the worst and bring tools to fix a problem if one turns up. or be easy on it off the line.

Well the thing is your not going to get your best time due to only the weakness of the rear, but you also cannot leave at max effort so any time slips are garbage.

What some people do and i do NOT recommend is ride the clutch to soften the hit but then now your frying the clutch so it is a lose, lose in the end.

Just be careful, have fun, and hit all your shifts.
