Default which gear for 1/8th mile?

Hi I have a 98 Z28 M6 bolt on car with mickey thompson DR's and trying to figure out which gear would help me on my 1/8th mile E.T.'s. I've only ran it a few times but when I get a decent launch it wants to bog on me. My best pass was when it actually spun and it ran a 8.09. I see alot of guys going with 4:10's but I think thats through the 1/4 mile. Also I think 3:73 would be a waste of time going from the stock 3:42 to the 3:73. What do you guys think?

4:10s would be nice and still be streetable.

4:56s would be awesome, but not streetable.

I have 4:11s and I really like them.

I'm running 4.56s' in an A4.The 1/4 mile improvement was most improved in the 1/8.They're very streetable, but being an auto could be why,OK on the highway too.

yeah I want to stay streetable so I will probably go with 4:10's. Do ya'll think 3:73's is a waste of time? Reason I ask is I only shift to 3rd right now at the end of the 1/8th. With the 3:73's I will still only shift 3 gears but with 4:10's I will have to shift 4 gears. Will shifting 4 gears hurt my E.T's?

Get the 4.10's. If you go with 3.73's, you'll wish you got 4.10's and that will always be in the back of your mind.
