Question Shtock?

How much power can a stock Fbody rear end take before it snaps? So far the clutch is upgraded but the rear end is stock. The engine is a built LSx. Probbly in the 400 whp range.

If it's a m6 it doesn't take much to break it. You can have bolt-ons and sticky tires and it'll break

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

No there is not a way to prevent it. The 10 bolts are weak not matter how much money you put in it. The only way to stop it is to buy a 9 inch or 12 bolt

If you have an M6 car and do not want rear end problems DO NOT do the following;
Drag race it!
Put sticky tires on it!
Do burnouts!
Instal 4.10s in it!

Replace the whole rear end unless you want to keep wasting money on stock rear ends
