Talking Just finished my one man S60 install.

***Pics Added***

I was too beat-up and tired to get pics of it yet but I'll work on it.

I installed the S60 with 4.10's (after coating it with POR15), a PST driveshaft, a UMI drag sway bar, and UMI torque arm relocation bracket. I did this all in my garage with jackstands and by myself.

This thing is a beast! It's so big and heavy and originally looked like it wasn't going to fit, but it did no problem. I didn't really run into any snags with the rearend but getting it in the car felt a little dangerous. I modified my UMI torque arm like instructions say, bolted it in, added fluid and went.

I've only had time for a quick test drive and you can definitely feel it back there. With a full rear suspension and chassis mounted torque arm the car definitely makes a little more moans and groans but it's not bad.

That UMI drag bar is huge! I need to get the sway bar brackets that came with the S60 chopped off today and get my new ones welded in. Once I get that complete, the break-in, and put some boost through it, (today) I'll post up some pics.

Why do you need to change the welded on sway bar brackets?

Nice work, I attempted my s60 install alone today and yea it seemed dangers. Had a hell of a time getting the torque arm lined up. Think I am going to pull it out of the mount and bolt it to the rear first.

The u-bolts that came with my UMI drag sway bar would not install onto the S60's mounts. The mounts on the S60 seemed to be at a funny angle too. They would have worked great with a stock style sway. I just had the shop cut them off.

That's what I ended up doing. Unfortunately the housing is so big I could not get the torque arm bolt nearest the front of the car in through the top and had to run it in from underneath. Once I got the torque arm lined up, getting the clamshell tight on the torque arm relocation bracket was a real bitch. But man that bracket is nice. No more trying to find the shifting pattern because of a twisting tranny under hard acceleration. Quick shifting is really a breeze now.

yeah, I thought it was odd they mounted it at such an angle and lower than they needed to but im sure there was a reason like clearing the aluminum covers? or keeping a certain center IDK

I bought a pint and barely put a dent in it. You could do it with their starter kit. Me and the wife put it on pretty thick. One coat should do it. It takes at least 5 hrs. to dry.

Here are some pics. I've been busy working on the front end lately as well. I love this setup. The rear drag sway is alot more streetable than I thought it was going to be.

It will peel off, you would have beem better off using some rustoleum. Por 15 is made to stick to rust and will not stick to bare smooth steel. I know from experience.

looks good man

as far as doing it yourself,
you need to bolt up the LCA's first this way the rear is kind of manageable

otherwise it is kinda hard and dangerous
the damm thing can move off the jack and crush your ***
