Default catastrophic failure!

ok, well not THAT bad, but enough to do this..anyone know wtf happened? was just driving and clunkclunkclunk..hit a bump, it got worse and started smelling the rear diff fluid...look under that car and its pissin. drove it home (was only across town) took the cover off and found this. any recommendations on a built carrier? or should i just go with a whole built axle..(also a pic of my future plans)

a 99 with a m6,how many miles on the rear?and a turbo! you are asking too much of a stock 10 bolt.time for a better rear end.

considering that all 99-02 posi f-bods got the Torsen,I don't consider it a lot of people, those threads are relatively recent and I don't recall seeing any before that. could have been a manufacturing/assembly batch problem(not that Torsen would admit it.
but to answer your question, with your power levels(now and future) and your ETs' with an M6,an upgrade to a bigger rearend would be advised.

I have the same exact pictures, well except for the turbo. Blew mine with my H/C car on a 15mph roll into WOT. I would say it was just your time to go, those 10 bolts are weak as hell. Go with a 9inch or go home lol.
