what gear set is...
41 teeth ring and 5 pinion... 2.73s correct? what should the rpms be in overdrive with a 4l60e on the highway i thought i had 3.23s but i just counted the teeth in my (pos)ten bolt thats what i got

Typo I presume, think he meant to type 15. Which according to above would indeed be 2.73 unfortunately. Going 71 shows you should be turning about 2100 rpms.

yes i did mean 15 not 5 sorry about that i guess my tach is off then cus i was going 75 mph at 2400 rpms i was told that was 3.23s but i guess i have 2.73s o well just curios i just rebuilt my transmission and found out my spider gears are completely gone lol

If you're talking about the spider gears in your rear end, that means you have a v6 rear, I THINK. I'm not the expert, but XXX best insurance and GM put a open 3.08 gear rear in my car when the previous owner had it. Another thing, if you have the 2.73's, you have the series II carrier, which is for 3.23 and numerically lower gears. You can still get 3.73, 411, whatever made for your carrier. I say be very careful with it and try to find a spare. Then save up andget something we all know won't break..

Yeah I'll try to post some pics up later I've already swaped the axle out with 3.23 non posi v6 car so the diff is on the ground now I'll open the cover up and show y'all the carnage
