Default stock 2:73s go 3:42s or 73s...you guy's decide for me

99TA/auto/flowmaster cat-back/slp cold air kit/edlebrock srut bar/sub-frame connectors..ngk msd plugs and wires...that's it...I never go to the strip and never street race...I just like to GET IT at the stop lights, have heads turn... nothing more...all city driving...should I do the 3:42s or the 73"? which will make the car feel more enjoyable for my situation? I just need that 0-45 improved accelaration...are 3:73s too much or just right.....2:73=

4:10s out of the question for an auto....I just don't want it to be not enough or too much ya know...this is my everyday dd mostly stop and go city driving..all I know is that's hard to even get these tires to spin with the stock gears...Just feels like it needs to wake the f*** up...and get movin alittle faster

373s

If you want to smoke the tires though and 0-45 acceleration... not trying to beat a dead horse, gears won't hold a candle to a converter.

with all the people upgrading to 12 bolts and 9",maybe you can find a rear with 3.73 already installed.

He has 410s in his formula that he drives daily.

It has traction issues til 40+ mph with a stock converter and 275 tires on the rear. Even though it is spinning horribly, it gets there really fast.

BTW I sill have not made it to the comp to reply to some of those posts.

Maybe you should also consider an aftermarket torque converter. That will make it more fun
