Default any difference between 10 bolts axle of V6 and Ls1 T/A?

The 10 bolts axle of 1998 T/A (ls1 motor) had bad leaking at house and ends- I believe need replace the bearing/seals at the ends. I don't know what wrong at housing has leaking.

I found used 10 bolt axle (V-6 automatic) come from 2000 T/A in junkyard for $100. That T/A is v-6 motor with automatic and 55K miles on it. It looks excellent shape/condition.

Any difference between 10 bolt axle out from V-6 and Ls1 ?? Is ok 10 bolt V-6 put onto 1998 T/A Ls1?

Any advice?

all 10 bolts suck equally...... just keep in mind 3 channel, 4 channel, dif, and gear ratio.

1998 TA and 2000 TA housing are same.
Probably the 'junkyard person' was not sure what it came out of,TAs' were not V6 powered.
1998s' and earlier had Auburn 'posi',1999 and later had Torsen 'posi'.
3 channel ABS has a (1) sensor at top of the housing,4 channel ABS + Traction Control have a sensor at each end of the axle in the backing plate(s). Being that the electronics/control are different, they are not interchangeable.
Gear ratios could be different and if different would require 'computor tuning' to correct speedometer.
Need more info on on your car, auto or 6speed,3 channel or 4 channel.
