Question TA rear end girdle?????

I wanted to know if anyone is running the TA rear end girdle and seen some good results in terms of hard launches. Any feedback is good wanted to know if it was work the $160.00. What is the difference between the TA cover that you normally buy, and the one that Summit sells for our f-body 10 bolts.

some say its a waste of $, other's say it's useful. i have a TA with the stud kit. if nothing else, it makes fluid changes easier. i had a summit cover, and i thought the hardware that came with it was a pita to use.

i've seen a zexel spit bolts out of the TA girdle, was doing about 10mph riding in the car when it happend.

Lol. you're dreamin if you think the TA will help the rear end much. It's the zexel that breaks which then can ruin your purty TA girdle.

they're nice covers, and they make fluid changes easier, but i think that's about all you get from them. if you really think that this is going to keep you from breaking your rear end your dreaming. it could help, but it's kind of like the smooth belows, it's not really going to do anything. my $.02. if you're gonna put money in a rear end, save up for a 12-bolt. the 10-bolt is not worth putting a singe penny into.

"In theory" It helps stiffen the case but other things are likely to fail first. Now if you are dead set of strengthing the 10 bolt like I was in my S10 then about the only thing you can do is weld the tubes put in a crush sleeve eliminator and pray. One of the big enemies of the 10 bolt is the differential, ring and pinion combo depending on ratios, and case distortion.

cool. Lemme know when ya going up there. I need to find a helmet on the low low. know anyone? I prefer to hang in packs, so at least someone has a AAA+ card in case something goes boom. But i got efilive 6.3 if you ever wanna make some runs and log whats going on it's quite badass how fast you can sample and see whats really happening when you drop the hammer.. Before bille fixed up the ecu/kmember, i'd see about 1 degree KR from the headers tapping the kmember on a hard launch.

i can imagine ever ricer known to man will bombard commerce. I can understand maybe 10 runs in a night (5 hrs) but i'll be damned if i'm gonna drive 1.2 hrs each way to SDR then make 4 passes, then drive home. That would suck

sorry bout hijacking your thread buddy.

TA girdle's look cool if its any consolation.

If nothing else, they make the rear end look better. That is really the only reason I bought it.
