Default Quick S60 question about backing plates

Hey, Im thinking about ordering an s60 in about 1-2 months, but I have one problem. I know Strange requires you to send in your backing plates for them to install, but I can't have any downtime because I need it for work.

Lets say I was going to look through the classified/craigslist/ebay, what exactly would I be searching for?

To clarify, exactly what is it that I need to send strange? reluctor rings, backing plates, etc?

Any part #s? Thanks.

Im just wondering if I can do it cheaper than what strange asks you to pay...

Backing plates and caliper mounts. I cant remember the part numbers but ordering them new was ridiculous. Im sure you could find some used for a decent price.

why not ask strange EXACTLY what you need to remove off your rearend and send to them. doesn't mean you're gonna remove those parts but at least you know what they need. And get it in the form of a e-mail response so you have proof of what they tell you. Too many are getting 'screwed' because of lack of correct parts/communication.

Litterally you have to just send them the backing plates, where the E brake's are. No reluctor rings, or caliper mounts. Just search "brake Backing Plates" on Ebay, for an Fbody, or search the classifieds here.

Mine came back crushed. Strange will apologize profusely when yours come back crushed if the way they handled mine is an indicator. Maybe they have a suggestion? Maybe bolt up a 3/4" piece of plywood to the studs to prevent the damage? I like Strange and am happy with their stuff -but their freight department is lame!

you're close but not there yet. you need the steel bracket that the caliper/slider assy bolts to as well. GM 12454980, 12454981 are the #s for the 4ch plates. you do not need to send the e-brake shoes, adjuster assy, or lever. If you have and are keeping the 4ch on the car then you will need to send them your reluctor rings or purchase new ones from Strange.
