Who would be interested in an 8.8 torque arm rear?

Is there anyone in the NC area that would be willing to work with me on a proto type? You pay for the parts (whatever you want). Labor would be free. I've gathered parts for my car, but it'll be awhile before it's done. I'm goin big Ford 9inch ends, 31 slpine, custom bracket to run the LS1 brakes (maybe LT1 because they're lighter). Looking to start on something in the next 2 to 3 months. Just throwing that out there.

I talked to Strange the other day. They have housing ends that use a big Ford bearing and use the stock LS1 caliper brackets. It takes a shim in between because of the Ford bearing being wider. So I can weld the housing ends on and bolt my stock LS brakes up. You can also use it with LT1 brakes, but you have to buy a special caliper bracket. Strange has great tech support. Gonna be ordering all my parts today. Axles will be the last thing I have to order after it's welded up.

I voted.
Bare housing with no axles and guts is fine with me, I just don't have the know-how nor the tools for the brackets. But MUST maintain the ability to utilize TA's that are already on the market.

I built my own 8.8 with a torque arm awhile back and tried to see who would actually be ready to buy but the numbers were just not there and the actual cost to build was around 1600 with all new parts fully assembled with zero profit. I figured out you can't make money at it so I didn't build them. I'm sure someone will eventually do one but it's hard for a company to make money at this unless you are selling tons of them with little profit each. Good luck to you.

I recall seeing a thread on here where someone took a bolt-on TA that was designed for a Mustang 8.8 and modified the front to mount into an F-Body. Do some searching and I think you can find it.
