Default 4 channel to 3 channel

I installed a 3 channel moser 12 bolt and was wondering if theres a new harness I have to buy in order for abs to work or can i just use the old harness and plug one of the two connectors to the top of the center section?

You reuse the exiting harness. Bob

I misread this when I told you that you reuse your harness. I initially thought you were just wanting to reconnect your 3 channel harness up to a Moser 12 bolt with ABS. I just now caught the title "4 channel to 3 channel" I take it your car is/was a 4 channel, and you're attempting to convert it to a 3 channel? If so, I'm not sure what you can do as if I recall they use a different ECU. Bob

Yes, the brakes will still work just fine. You won't have ABS up front or in the rear, which is the way I prefer them anyway. If you slam hard on the brakes you'll lock them up, so you'll have to use threshold braking. Bob

You could get 4 channel axles and backing plates like your stock setup. That is the easiest approach. Actually converting to 3 channel is possible but a much more involved process.

Don't u need to change the abs block out??? I just pulled mine, it has 1 less brake line than 4 channel. Let me know if u need the abs block for 3 channel.

You can attack this problem that way but it's only 1 small part of the puzzle. There is a lot more too it than swapping the module.

Something else to consider is that the 3 channel rear will need 4 channel brake lines to hook up to the existing system.

Then get you some 4 channel Moser axles and you are in business.
