4.30 gears in a 10 bolt??
Hey is there such a thing as 4.30 gears for a 10 Bolt??
I bought my car used and it already had gears in it. I figured they were 4.10 gears and never thought about it much.
Well I know that in second gear it's 2000rpm = 20mph, 3000rpm = 30mph and it hits revlimiter @ 6400 rpm it's going 64mph.
According to www.f-body.org/gears that's a 4.30 ratio, if it was 4.10 gears 6400 rpm in second would be 67mph and it's not.
I didn't think they made 4.30 gears for a 10 bolt
Thanks.

Ive read about 4.30 gears available from isuzu pickups. Its an offshoot of the s-10 pickup and they have 10bolts. I havent heard of anyone using 4.30 gears.
The speedometer was probably wasnt calibrated properly.
