Default Vendors for an aluminum driveshaft

Hello,
I'm currently running a 3" steel driveshaft in my ls1 swapped Monte carlo with 3.73 gears. And I have always had a driveline vibration from about 60-65 mph+.
So, I would like to upgrade to a 3.5" or 4" aluminum driveshaft with the hope of reducing vibrations. Can anyone recommend a vendor that can build me a quality driveshaft?

The Driveshaft Shop is another.

Or find a local place that can make you one.

I went with Mark Williams for my replacement driveshaft. Was it over kill probably but what they delivered was a work of art and customer service was top notch. I went with a 3 1/2" Aluminum Accu-Bonded shaft that meets SFI 43.1 specifications that is required for NHRA pro stock and competition eliminator classes.

Sorry for the pic sizes couldn't figure out how to make them smaller, guys from the transmission shop took them and sent them to me before install so blame them for the pic sizing lol.

Yeah 1350, they can even do 1480 for extreme nitro cars or probably people running over 1500rwhp. It is a very nice piece, the transmission shop was pulling there hair out due to how precise the guys at Mark Williams wanted measurements to be and also the number of measurements they kept requesting. They balance everything attached yokes all of it in house, but I think I've heard a few other shops can do that as well.

I went this route because I had a hilly billy steel one attached that was junk and was pretty sure what broke a sprag in my transmission. Finish Line Transmissions thought due to excessive vibration. When I removed the old steel driveshaft the bolt threads were stretched was crazy.
The guys at the transmission shop had done tons of custom driveshafts but was a first time dealing with Mark Williams and they were blown away by the quality.

Little tidbit about pst aluminum shafts. They are high speed balanced, and most times have no weights.....why? Bc they are made that good.

I would like to replace my factory driveshaft as I’m pretty sure it vibrates. I had always planned to get the LPE aluminum shaft, but never got around to it and it’s obviously no longer an option. I haven’t even seen one listed on eBay, but there are lots of LS1 shafts. I really have no idea where to look, don’t know what brands are reputable etc.

How much should someone expect to pay for a good aluminum shaft? In terms of weight savings, is aluminum the best choice?

My car only has intake, headers & exhaust, so I don’t need something that will handle gobs of power. I might do some other stuff in the future, so some room for growth would be nice. Having said that, it’s never going to be a race car.

Inland Empire makes a nice stock replacement shaft with heavier wall tubing. Definitely much lighter and stronger then a stock steel.
