Default MWC Fab 9

Just a question but also wanting a solution. My MWC fab 9 is leaking gear oil out the vent? that is mounted on the top of the tube on the drivers side.
Is this normal? It is NOT overfilled as its just over 3 qts in the system.

Driving me nuts! Are there any fixes? Thanks in advance?

I have 3qts in mine and so far so good but it's also not coming out of the allen plug yet. From what I've been told you're supposed to fill it until it just starts to drain out from there.

Think it could be aersol coming out as it drives? might could put a vent filter on it if thats the case?

Got any pics? may need to route the tube differently also?

Install -6 adapter to -6 pushlock and a 3/8” mini breather. This is on my 12 bolt but you get the idea.

I like that idea.

I will see if maybe MWC chimes in as well... otherwise I will do as you did. Its splattering on muffler and getting slimy everywhere lol

Mine does the exact same thing. I don't think it's actually gear oil coming out but most likely just fumes venting and coming down the housing backside. Doesn't bother me tho

Oh boy that's crazy. That little filter fitting might just be clogged. On mine is just residual oil

Did MWC ever get back with you (OP) on this issue. I'm currently working on upgrading my rear end and I would not accept oil coming out onto the muffler and underneath of the car either. This may make me second guess on going with MWC.

Is this a common issue with MWC fab 9s?

Just replace the little filter thing with a nipple and run a piece of hose up high. Shouldn't be a problem after that

I’ve changed my gear oil every spring on mine and see what looks like a little oil but mostly grimy dust. Nothing crazy but I might try the fitting with a hose

its funny you posted asking about this , this year after 5 yrs of mine doing the same thing i threaded a barb into it and clamped a hose to it and ran it to the upper panhard bar . no more mess on the rear end and by the shock mount . This is the only gripe with my mwc fab 9 but for a few bucks you can fix it .

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one their rear ends. Besides this, does everyone like theirs? How about tunnel clearance?

I've had both a quick performance 9 and MWC 9 and the MWC 9 is by far the best unit for the money. Fit and finish is top notch.

Best upgrade I made to my car. Prior to switching out my factory rear I had an aftermarket adjustable TQ arm from a reputable company and it would bang on the tunnel. Couldn’t be happier with the MWC rear and TQ arm. No more noises!

As others have mentioned, it's a top-notch piece. You'd be hard pressed to find better.
My stamped housing Moser with the cast torque arm mount would hit the tunnel, MWC9 clears no issue.
