Default Diff Cover for aftermarket sway bar

Hey guys, hope you’re all doing well.

I’m going to change the pinion seal on my 2002 WS6 A4 and change the gear oil while I’m at it, I want to change the diff cover to one with a drain plug to make it easier on me in the future to change the oil.

Which one would you recommend for a stock 10 bolt GM diff (7.5/7.6) ? And do I have to use the stock bolts and 2 parking brake bolts or use the ones that come with the kit?

I have an aftermarket sway bar from UMI and I read that some diff covers don’t clear an aftermarket sway bar. Based on my search, there are companies like trickflow, moser, summit racing, LPW, TA performance…etc. but not sure which one will be my best choice. I love overseas and unfortunately I can’t return or exchange any parts.

I appreciate your help guys. Many thanks.

I'd would go here if I was looking to keep my 10 bolt, however I'm not sure if it will work with an aftermarket sway bar.

If I get the TA performance or any aftermarket diff cover and the sway bar hit the diff cover ….. is there a way to solve this issue? Like what do you do in this case?

many thanks

thanks for the above info brother, mine is UMI one (22mm) I believe it’s the same size as strano’s if I’m not mistaken.

Hey guys, just a quick update on this thread.

I got the TA performance Diff cover installed with no clearance issues. unfortunately, Hawks sent me longer than needed bolts so we had to buy another set locally but it all went well. 👍 Thanks guys .
