If I were doing it again, I would go with a 12bolt, albeit with axles a little larger than the 33spline. (I have a 9" now).

Chris did you twist the 33 spline? Would you have bought the 35 spine if to do again?

What are your center section options when looking at 12-bolt 35-spline axles?

I plan on launching at high RPMs on slicks, yet I will be driving the car on the street quite a bit (since the track isn't open all that much).

I'm thinking soft locker, as I don't think anyone offers a posi in 35-spline configuration.

Strange 12 bolt w/33 Spline axles, Stange has an upgraded set of axles that has the 4140 Heat treaded A-36 mild steel...Works great and not to worry about twisting....

Nope, haven't had a problem with my 9" axles yet - but 2 friends with a 12 bolt have both killed their 33 spline axles. I just blew up my centersection (actually just cracked it).

Thanks!

I posted a link to it at LS1.com but the title of the thread didn't specifially state NA 9s so you may have missed it because of that.

Stay tuned for 8s.

FYI The highest spline count on a 12 Bolt that can be had w/o going to a spool is 33. Even the 33 Spline is only the Eaton posi, that is resplined after leaving the factory.

Stephn, Ya know you could drop a couple more #s with a Spool, and then put even more hp to the ground...
