Wolfe vs BMR sway bar
what are you guys' thoughts about the two? i like the extra clearance of the BMR arm and the fact that you dont have to weld brackets to the rearend housing, but it seems like its shape and the fact that its held onto the housing by bushings might make it not as effective? anybody here using the BMR bar yet? any body roll on hard launches still? thanks

i look at it this way:
Wolfe's idea on his sway bar has been copied by a few different companies IMO
i'm not going to list them here, but i will say i dont know of anyone else's stock doulbe sway bar putting a NON ladder-barred stang into the 7s on 10" tires (Job Spetter's car)
Personally, i'd go with him...

I look at it this way.
Wolf I don't believe makes those bars or he is at least starting out with basic anti roll bars from Competition Engineering or Chassis Engineering.
PaiN has the BMR and he said it feels pretty good.
The Wolfe is very stiff I hear. I had a used one and sold it.

Wolfe has the best bar(mail order) out there. Yes its stiff that is the object. His bar is made at his shop not a copy of someone others.

Re: Wolfe vs BMR sway bar
The wolfe is the best out there - I agree with madman on that (assuming you are keeping the TA suspension).
Like he said, the entire point is for it to be stiff. The wolfe bar mounts differently than the CE bar afaik. He has full out fabrication facilities, and makes all his own stuff in his shop.
But it is a pretty hard-core item. Definite ride trade-off's as well as road noise.

Re: Wolfe vs BMR sway bar
thanks for the input guys. as for road noise/ride harshness, even though its my daily driver i really couldnt care less about that stuff. im willing to tolerate ALOT when it comes to that, just something you have to put up with to go fast

Re: Wolfe vs BMR sway bar
I ran the Wolfe bar when this car was still a daily driver. Not a good idea. I sold it to PSJ.
Then, it became more of a racecar. Every little bit counts now. I bought another Wolfe bar. I don't see how you can beat it for the track.
Street...not so good.
Track...the best that I've come across.

Re: Wolfe vs BMR sway bar
There is a look at how the drag bar hooks up to the housing. Its a beefy bar, and the connections to the subframe are equally beefy. I'll try and get some better photos soon

Re: Wolfe vs BMR sway bar
Any type of bar that is welded on all four contact points is not what I would call a street bar. I have driven a car with one, and the car just pushes into the corners... just kind of plows.
BMR bar is kind of looking interesting, kind of a 1/2 and 1/2 deal.
I was told that the Wolfe bar is a cut down Chassis Engineering bar.
