I don't like clunking noises when my car goes around a corner, unlike some boobie-hatch workers in Florida.

I don't mind hearing noises...............................never mind the fact that I work at the boobie-hatch. It makes every day interesting.
Back on topic, get the True Trac.
Oh, and before you write off the strength of a 9" with the locker, find someone who has that setup and go for a ride in their car.

You need to consider what your uses will be. The
Torsens are street/road race / autoX friendly but
aren't really recommended for drag. An Auburn Pro
would be decent for the strip but might drive like a
spool in the rain and make a lot more heat in the
twisties / sweepers. Then there's the whole question
of what rear end you really ought to be looking at,
this alters the available options.

I have the exact same question and was considering the Torsen T2R for my mostly street use (I am tired of spinning the inside tire in cornering) but I also drag occasionally. What makes it not so good for drag?

Also, which has more bias - the Auburn Pro or the Torsen T2R?

Thanks,

Steve

You can't go wrong with that setup. My setup is very similar, and if you rode in my car you could never tell that it had a 9" in it unless you looked under the back. Makes no noise at all and the Detroit TrueTrac works great. Here is my setup:

DLS/Moser 9"
Moser 31 spline axles
4 channel
FRPP 4.11s
Detroit True Trac posi
