Hey guys I have a 2002 Z-28 A4 how can I see what gears I have in my car???

 

Check the rpo codes. GU2 is 2.73 GU3 i think thats it is 3.23. only M6 came with 3.42 stock. If this doesnt work try the highway test. 80mph at 2krpm on the highway means you have 2.73. they rest i forgot but its sticky'd here somewere.

 

2002 A4 Came 323 If I Remeber Correct........

 

GU2 2.73's
GU5 3.23's

The codes are on the driver side door correct I found a bunch of codes in alphabetical order and saw GU2 so I guess I have 2.73's

 

If you're not the original owner sometimes you might find they've been changed. My door says GU2 but have 3.42's in the car. You can doublecheck by using one of the calculators - like www.f-body.org/gears/

 

If you're cruising at 1500 RPM's at 60 mph......2.73's.


Sometimes I miss those gears. Made road trips a little cheaper...
