Default Torsen, which end is up on the c-clip retainer block??

Well...crap, I took it out and stood it right side up and then at some point I knocked it over. There is definitely an up and a down but the darn thing will bolt in either way. I have a pic if somebody could post it. Anybody have a 99 or later Helms?

There is a hole in the plate and there is a hole in the differential that will match it when inserted the correct way.

I can line up the bolt hole ok, but trouble is you can flip it 180 degrees and it still lines up. The block itself has a couple of large holes and a routed/machined area that doesn't seem to match up with anything in the differential? There is definitely a top and bottom but I don't know which is which.

Crap...lol...Auburn has the advantage here...only one way to put the pin in... Anybody???

There's a purty picture of it. I have no clue which side of the thrust block goes right or left or if it matters.

Well I took another look and there is no hole in the differencial that matches the LARGE hole on the end of the thrust plate. There are no tabs. The hole for the 5/16" bolt lines up of course, no matter which side you have left or right (thats the problem), but looking at the machining on that plate, I gotta believe there is a left and a right. What a bunch of crap. How hard would have been to move that mounting bolt hole off center so it could only be installed one way....jeeeshh....

There are no witness wear marks that seem to indicate it was installed one way or the other Some of that stuff looks like it might have been used during manufacturing, but surely not all.

I could email you 2000RATA's number...he has self installed 4.10s, and he must have a Zexel-Torsen in his 2000 WS6, right

Heck yeah! Chris should know!...email me the number.. thanks Rob....I'm beginning to think it doesn't matter which way but if the holes etc are for proper lubrication I might screw myself if I get it wrong....

There are very light wear marks but I can't match them to anything... this rear end only has 880 miles on it...

Should have this done in a couple hours
