Not to thread hijack, but which is generally considered better for a 12 bolt: Moser or Strange?

I just got one direct from Strange. The freight from them to Washington state was around $130.00. It was delivered to a warehouse with a loading dock though. Some companies will charge more if they have to use their lift gate or deliver to a home address.

You bet they do...they charged $100 for a truck with a lift gate to come to my house (on top of the freight charge). They would have let me come get it from their warehouse as you did, only I don't have a truck (or another car for the matter)

Sponsors usually don't stock them (unless they're a big shop)

They're usually shipped direct from Strange....

I bought mine through LS1speed and expected to pay around $200 drop freight to Orlando, but the shipping company just dropped it off

Had to send it back to Strange cause it had the wrong gears and it was picked up and shipped back to me again without charge

Don't hear me complaining though

No kidding...mine actually came out to ~$70 because they forgot to add the lift gate charge to my bill

Thanks for the input, I'm usaully not a lucky to have them forget to charge for something. May just contact the vendors and stange to see who will have the best price with having to send to TX.

When I asked Strange how much it was going to be they said about $200.00-$250.00. They said that they call some companys to find the cheapest price right before they ship it. If you can give them a shipping address to a business or warehouse so that the trucking company has to do the least amount of work it can be cheaper for you. I was lucky and know the owner of a local performance warehouse who let me do that.

For mine, they used UPS freight...I thought the charges would be much more than they were. Never taken delivery of a 269 pound package before

Sounds good. I'll give Strange at the end of winter or first of spring. Just waiting to finish this shutdown so I can get some down time to install the tranny and suspension goodies before the spring outage season starts for my company.
