Rear Abs???

Nope
The sensor on my Strange 12-bolt was recently sheared off by the reluctor wheel and since then, the ABS INOP light has been on....
Tried a panic stop in the rain, locked up and went skidding for a good 30 feet

Thems the breaks...the ABS system has to know the rear wheel speed relative to the front...otherwise, it doesn't know if one is going faster than the other (and thus slipping).

Front only ABS just wouldn't work...all wheel speeds have to be known for it to work. Otherwise, your fronts would modulate, the rears would lock up, and you'd swap ends in a hurry.

I don't think you will have a problem without it. ABS is a fairly recent innovation in the automotive world. Think about all of the Muscle cars that never had ABS.
On a side note, it is kinda nice to have for someone that does a lot of emergency braking, especially on a slick surface.

Could always do the ABS delete with a line lock. Put one in my car, from SJM. It gets rid of that big ugly block in the engine bay and saves about 16 lbs. Since it's just going to be sitting there anyway...

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but it's only one of 3 I've found in a search for a solution...
I got a shop to order me a moser rear with the reluctor rings pressed on from moser directly so they would work with the rear speed sensors (not sure if this shop specified it was an f-body or what) but the ABS has been in INOP mode since they put it in. Brake backing plates are on, rings are on, just an ABS INOP light always on. Perhaps there's a wiring/sensor issue since ABS INOP is on even at idle?
