new gear need help!!! hey guys whats going on, im gonna be gettin a new gear with in a couple days. i have an A4 and i wondering what i should put in it. it has a 3.23 in there now, and im not sure if i should put a 3.42 or a 3.73, what do most people put in on an automatic cars? thanks again!!!

i dont want to go 4.10 i do drive it on the highway every now and then, espically when i go to the track. i was thinkin about the 3.73 just wasnt sure if i should put a 3.42 in. anyone else have any suggestions?
My sons 2000 Z28 started making a howling noise in the rear end. He took it to a shop and they told him the ring and pinion is a 4.10. How can I look at the old ring and pinion to be sure that is what is in there? He went out and bought a new 4.10 to have installed. I just want to be sure these gears are not going to kill him on the interstate. His is a 6 speed.

Verdad Gallardo My 4.10s are fine, in fact i love them, but ive got a 6 speed, its different with an auto, thats why i suggested the 3.73's, thats what most people will tell you to go to for an auto that sees street use
