I felt that buying my 12 bolt was a mistake, so i rectified it by getting a 9in. Id buy 9in no matter which trans you have.

Go with a 9". It's quite a bit stronger than a 12-bolt. Also check out the Strange S60. The S60 is basically the same thing as a Dana 60.

Go with the Ford 9" as it is a bit stronger than the 12-bolt, and it is much easier to remove the carrier for a gear change. You can still find nodular iron 9" carriers in the junk yards if you want a spare. You can probably change the carrier in about an hour after you pull the axles. So, get an extra set of gears for a highway trip (3.23), or the drag strip (4.11) and change them (the carrier) out as you need to.

Really? I did not know that. I guess that's why I haven't seen em in too many cars But yeah man check out that S60. I've heard great reviews for it. I'll be installing one after some other stuff is done

Yea, Moser's setup and customer service suck *****. Theyve screwed me twice now, and i wont let them again.. Theyre real ******.

But theyre products are very nice. Buy the Moser 9in then have someone else set it up and you'll be winning

I sell a lot of Moser 9 inch rears, and I've had very few problems. I sometimes sell as many as three in a day. Moser ships their rears out two days after the order is received, which really helps when the 10 bolt in your car breaks, and you need/want to get it up and running as quickly as possible. Bob

no the S60 is much heavier than either of the other rear-ends. there have been some whining issues with those. i'm sure they'll get sorted out soon.

the moser 12 bolt only leaks if you order it without the gidle. i had a moser 12 bolt that was just about as quiet as the stock rear, i gave it plenty of abuse with a 6spd and a Spec 3 clutch, and then after with a 402/3800 stall and a trans brake... and that was with a posi unit.

it held up to all of it and never gave me any problems. i'd DEFINATELY buy another 12 bolt from moser.

I'd say go with the 9" if you got an m6... 12 bolt if you have an a4.

IF you go 9", i'd go through driveline solutions, moser axles and housing and let him build his center section for you, he uses the strange 3rd member. I ordered my original 9" from EPP who dropships directly from Moser, I ended up selling that 3rd member and ordering one from Scott @ DLS because the Moser unit whined like a ****.

get the 9" but double check the gear setup before you put it in wish i did on mine

its stronger and the tq arm uses the thru-bolt setup as opposed to the 4 bolts the 12bolt uses and prong to backing out/shearing
