Big thumbs up to RAM
The same day I posted it I got an E-mail from Mike at RAM saying he wanted me to send the setup back to inspect it.I sent it back Monday and he took a look at it.Said that it shouldn't of done that and is sending me a new setup That is awesome customer service
Just want to say Thanks Mike

I recieved the same e-mail about getting a good price on the 900 series setup while I was having problems with the 6130. I still feel ripped if they know that this is a problem with these setups and we get screwed in the end. If this happens to me I still need to pay to have the new clutch installed....again.

Then another case where an installation gone bad took place(I believe the shims were not used) and that caused a problem.

That was me . The shims weren't put in because I had instructions that came with the VDS kit that said NOT to use them in a street setup. The guy installing the clutch even verified this with RAM before he did it. I dont have the VDS system anymore. I just put in the regular 402PP.
The gesture to give a good price on the new kit is a nice one but you have to understand the hell and money I went through to get a clutch that worked right. Some people have not had the fusing problems and some havent. I honestly believe that RAM doesnt know whats causing it or that there are too many varibles with these stupid clucth setups (The way GM designed them).

Changing clutches for me is no big deal.I can do it in my sleep now since I've gone through 2 clutches and 1 tranny so far this year
My INFERENCE is that the flywheel surface is getting so hot that the disc material is literally melting to the flywheel, and when the clutch sits engaged for a while it just stays there... By wicking more heat away from the flywheel, or getting more cool down time between hard runs, the problem will go away...
900 series seems to dissipate this heat much quicker.
is there a fix for this or do i have to get a new setup? i am using the 402/6130 setup.
i went to the track last night for the first time on this clutch and for the first time with ET streets. i launched at 3700 rpm and the clutch slipped and is was slipping throgu the gears.
