usually broken studs are the result of the lugs not being proplerly torqued. also the use of wheel spacers are known to cause failures.
i have the stock metric studs on my car that 60 foots 1.3's at 3800+pounds. your power with Nitto's on the street shouldn't have any problems.
buy a good set of studs and make sure the lugs are properly torqued. new studs may stretch a tiny bit, so be sure to check them after driving a few times. they are known to work loose, especially with aluminum wheels.

i broke my studs a few weeks ago. I felt a small vibration when I was driving to work, only when i would decel or lightly hit the throttle. On the way home, I was goign about 75mph and I heard a loud noise (sounded like i blew a tire), and the whole car started to shake violently. I immediately pulled over (was in the left lane) on the right shoulder of the bridge and got out and saw the driver wheel was sitting inside the wheel well.
I didnt wreck, only marred up the inside of the wheel a little bit. I also was running a spool and 315 nittos on 17x11 Zr1's. Stock sized studs were in the car as well. They had been in for about 500 miles.
We attributed the failure to the spool putting stress on the wheel from the vibration when making tight turns, and the fact that the studs probably stretched and worked the lugs loose.
I now am putting ARP studs in, and pulling out the spool and putting in a Tru Trac
