That is good to hear, do you have adjustable lower control arms? Your rear might be centered better in the wheelwell, most are back .5".

With 1.46 60 ft times, your factory driveshaft is on borrowed time. Many on here have tuned them into pretzels. Bob

Bob is this going to affect me since I bought that PST from you last year? Let me know....you know how I hate chasing vibration issues.

If you don't have vibration problems now, you have no problems with your current driveshaft.

Darren, I'm not sure with the Midwest fab rear if the stock driveshaft length is retained or if you are going to need a longer driveshaft. Eric should be able to answer this for you. Thanks. Bob

Darren sold his Moser 12 bolt and is waiting on a Midwest fab 9 inch, which is why he is asking whether his driveshaft is going to be long enough. Bob

I just thought , I would ask you because I was going with a Moser Ford 9" and the shaft was purchased with this intent. You posted that you are using an inch longer shaft now for the 9" rear ends and I don't want to be stuck with something I can't use or be fighting to install it. I will check with Eric also.

Thanks Darren

My current PST shaft is still in a box, so I'm not worried about any vibration at this point. The prior issues were with another setup. My concern is for when my new rearend arrives and we go to install it.

Since it is new and still in the box, if you need a different length we can swap it out for you. Bob

Thanks Bob, I appreciate it. I will give you a call if we need to do this. I have faith that it will work out either way.

quick question how long is a stock aluminum driveshaft vs the steel since the steel appears a lil longer when i put them side by side

reason i ask this is because i bought a roller that had a strange 9in but it stock driveshaft works with the rear yolk setup and he said he had no prob running a aluminum driveshaft thats stock length on his car so i swapped it over to my car and everything seems good i just dont want to have too short of a drive shaft

also which normally breaks first steel shaft or aluminum, i know i can sell the aluminum one so if thats gonna break ill just use the steel at the track this weekend

Both oem driveshafts break when subjected to a lot of stress, I haven't seen a pattern of one breaking more often than the other one. Bob

I should correct myself on this....the driveshaft is still in the inner portion of the box, the main box is gone...the shaft has been lying on the back deck of the car....and never been installed.

Check your torque arm pinion angle. If you have the longer PST driveshaft, it most likely is not the driveshaft as I can't remember ever having one out of balance. Bob

so here is a question for you. my rear yolk on my 9 inch was not a 1350. i just ordered a new moser 1350 yolk from jegs a little while ago. should the overall length stay the same or should i play it safe and install the new yolk and remeasure just to be safe.

i am 99% sure it should stay the same but that other 1% always kills me

I'd make sure both yokes are the same length. They should be, but that 1% can come back to get you. Bob

ordered mine last night. thanks for getting back to me this morning bob. i was unsure if i got to order the correct one, even though i checked the (9 inch) botton on the initial screen it did not ever mention that i had added that on when i was checking out. i just wanted to make sure i got the right one the first time
