I'm all for keeping things civil, but holy crap they are sensitive over there.

I love tech but the new Camaro section is pretty slow. Any other good 2010 Camaro forums?

Never been over there before, I'll have to check it out. You really can't judge a forum just by a few members, especially since just about everyone is on every forum nowadays. There's always a good set of members and a bad set of members. I think a lot of nice members always stay silent and make a few posts here and there.

If we could just get the dumb asses that post on EVERYTHING to take the same approach, it would be much nicer.

I guess I've been posting on car boards waaayyy too long, but some of them wear their feelings pretty close to their skin. I do go there, but most of them don't know **** about Tech & it's almost ricey to a point, more emphasis on shiny little doodads than on beating the **** outta their cars the way they were meant to be beat on.

Way too many, will changing my blinker fluid void my warranty questions. You can pretty much be given time off over there just by telling someone something like "Don't be stupid, you'll kill your motor running those plugs with nitrous" next thing you know, you get hit by the banstick.

Every New Mustang VS SS thread gets locked & I haven't seen any really inflamatory posts. One Ford sucks, or Chevy sucks & LOCKDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see what a smack talk section would look like on that board, or a call out section.

That is the truth. Most of the Mods and Admins don't even own a 5th gen. I can't understand why they are allowed to run the site.
Modern Camaro (used to be 5thgen.org) is a much better site. I just wish more people would migrate over.

camaro5, from it's large body of members AND posts, simply has the largest following, with MORE of EVERYTHING, good or bad...

Like any other site, there's great stuff, there, and some not-so-great. If you don't feel compelled to comment on everything you see, or read everything you see, you can cruise through it and find a fair amount of substance...or a fair amount of "stuff"...

The site has "passion", moreso than "knowledge", generally, but there IS genuine technical knowledge there.

A certain level of "civility" is encouraged. Not necessarily a "bad" thing...

It is what it is...

I'm just waiting on shipping info. It was recommended that I get the "Tune" version since I have LT headers going on the car and will have everything tuned. I'll also be adding a cam and converter in the not to distant future; I guess 440-450rwhp on an L99 is equivilant to about 500rwhp on the LS3.

Another mustang thread was just closed as I was typing a response. People can't take being corrected.

If you want to know everything inside and out about changing the color of the halos, it's not bad.........aside from that.......

I do go on there alot to read about new products and news regarding the 5th gens but yeah alot of the content is ****.

Half these people act like they have never owned a ******* car before and post endlessly about what octane fuel they should use or how to change the oil , just nonsense that anyone who has ever even had a mild interest in cars should know.

Alot of stupid **** like "I cant stop looking at my car" or "I just found this novelty item for my car" of which there are dozens of near duplicate threads about.............

Oh and dont dare say **** about racing anyone on the street or bash anyone with a Mustang or Challenger , it is good however if you want to spend $1000 on underhood dress up items

People debating that a K&N makes a car modified or worried about LT headers triggering a SES

Not me, I want to make mine go as fast as possible, then again Im not 50+yrs old and upper middle class like 95% of the people on there
