Default UD pulley and ported TB?

I'm trying to figure out if I want to a pulley and ported tb. I just installed Texas speed LTs a vararam cai and took it to have it tuned. My questions are do I need to take car back to have it retuned for the ported tb and why the horror stories putting a pulley on? Guys are saying the pulley is eating up the ac belt and what's up with the stretch belt? What tool is needed for that?

I haven't heard anything about the UD eating the AC belt. The tool is a $10 piece bit from what I have heard you can get the belt on with a regular screwdriver.

Oh I have also heard that porting the TB on Ls3s is worth nothing in HP or TQ.

I have a few thousand miles on my Powerbond underdrive pulley. No issues.

Bo White ported my TB.

Well I just sent my tb off for the porting to be done but I really think I'm going to hold off on the pulley. That just seems like a lot of work and money for 5hp. By the time I buy the belts I will have about 275 in a pulley. I will hold off on pulley when I do a cam swap later.

What is the cost of porting the TB and how much will you gain? I haven't heard of much power being picked up with porting the stocker.

Bo dynoed his TB, it picked up a little on the dyno. Felt like I had better throttle response too... quicker.
